This privacy policy will explain how our organization uses the personal data we collect from you when you use our website.
The controller responsible for data processing under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:
Tech Casters UG Landsberger Straße 218 12623 Berlin Germany
Email: info@techcasters.com
Tech Casters UG has not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as this is not required under Article 37 GDPR.
When you use our website for purely informational purposes, if you do not provide us with information, we only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. If you wish to view our website, we collect the following data, which is technically necessary for us to display our website to you and to ensure its stability and security. The legal basis for this is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR:
IP address, date and time of the request, time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), content of the request (specific page), access status/HTTP status code, amount of data transferred in each case, website from which the request originated, browser, operating system and its interface, language and version of the browser software.
We delete the data collected in this context once it is no longer needed for storage or restrict its processing if there are legal retention obligations.
When you contact us via email or a contact form, we store the data you provide (your email address, name, company name, telephone number and content of the message) in order to answer your questions. If our contact form requests information that is not required for contacting you, we have always marked it as optional. This information helps us to clarify your request and process your inquiry more efficiently. Providing this information is expressly voluntary and based on your consent, Art. 6 para. 1 a GDPR. If this information includes details of communication channels (e.g., email address, telephone number), you also consent to us contacting you via these channels to answer your inquiry. You can, of course, revoke this consent at any time for the future.
The processing of personal data submitted when contacting us is carried out pursuant to Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures or performance of a contract), Article 6(1)(c) GDPR (compliance with a legal obligation) or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to inquiries), depending on the nature of the request.
We delete the data collected in this context once it is no longer needed for storage or restrict its processing if there are legal retention obligations.
The contact form uses SMTP2GO (Sand Dune Mail Ltd, 96-106 Manchester Street, Christchurch 8011, New Zealand) as a third party email delivery service. When you submit the contact form, your message is transmitted to SMTP2GO’s servers for the purpose of sending and routing the email to us. SMTP2GO processes this data on our behalf as an email service provider and does not use it to contact you independently. Further information on data processing can be found in SMTP2GO privacy policy at https://www.smtp2go.com/privacy/.
We use service providers that process personal data on our behalf, in particular Microsoft Corporation (Microsoft 365 cloud services). Processing is carried out on the basis of data processing agreements pursuant to Article 28 GDPR.
Our Microsoft 365 tenant is hosted and processed in Germany. Access is restricted using multi-factor authentication for all accounts with permissions to view your data.
Where personal data is transferred to third countries outside the EU or EEA, such transfers are carried out in accordance with applicable GDPR requirements, in particular on the basis of EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Tech Casters will keep your customer data for up to 7 years where legally required. Once this time period has expired, we will delete your data by purging it from our Microsoft 365 tenant.
Data retention is carried out pursuant to Article 6(1)(c) GDPR where statutory retention obligations apply, and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR where retention is necessary for the assertion, exercise, or defense of legal claims.
